Minimum rate for CV translations

I am often asked for translations of CVs and often, they are only two pages long. I must unfortunately charge a minimum rate for all translations, and it is important for me to clear this up. Sometimes I get an annoyed reaction because I charge € 35 per document because that is my minimum rate, even if it is only a CV of half a page. Why? Let me explain this. In order to receive an e-mail, answer it, read it, and issue an invoice alone, I need half an hour to an hour. So we are talking about an hours work without having started translating. Just see it as an administrative fee, and do not forget that running a translation business is often more than just translating.
